The650b mountain bike doesn’t split the difference between 26in and 29in wheels. That’s because the 650b wheel is much closer in diameter to a 26in wheel. For reference, there’s a 25mm
Thedexterity of 27.5-inch wheels is well-known. They excel in narrow corners and permit swift direction changes, qualities that make them a favourite on technical trails. Due to their greater diameter, 29-inch wheels are marginally less manoeuvrable, rendering tight and quick turns more difficult. Nevertheless, they achieve stability above speed.
26ersand 29ers are great bikes that serve different purposes. The 26er has stronger wheels for smoother, more technical trails and downhills, while the 29er is ideal for tough and uneven terrains (rocky, with stumps, etc.), as it offers more traction, control, confidence, and better performance on longer, uneven rides. Teda to je rychlost..
Withour 26″ wheels and BB in the high setting, we initially opted for the -1 degree cups and settled into a 62.7 degree head angle. After speaking with Scott employee and ripper himself Ben Walker, he suggested we try the 27.5″ lowers on our RockShox Boxxer. The added height for to make room for the bigger wheel helps get the BB up
Thebike is officially 28” sized but after going through the specs and doing a couple measurements I’m confused as to what size I really need. The current fork (28” as mentioned) has a axle-to-crown length of 405 mm. The Ogre fork, advertised as 27.5” to 29” has a whopping 447 mm while the 26” is at 420 mm (spec’d and measured).
